§ 01
Local SEO · Los Angeles
Los Angeles is not one market
It is eighty-eight cities and a few hundred neighbourhoods, and Google treats every one of them as its own results page. A business that targets “Los Angeles” competes with the whole county for a term nobody in Burbank actually types. We build for the city they are standing in.
§ 02
The county term is the hardest and the emptiest
Monthly US searches and Semrush difficulty (0–100). The city terms are smaller, far easier, and the person searching them is closer to your door.
Plumber
Dentist
Personal injury lawyer
“Plumber Santa Monica” is one fifth the volume of “plumber Los Angeles” and one fifth the difficulty — and the person typing it is in Santa Monica. Four city pages beat one county page on every number that matters.
§ 03
How we build for LA
A page and a profile per city you serve
Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Long Beach, Santa Monica, Torrance, Culver City — each with real content about working there: the permits, the parking, the neighbourhoods, the jobs you have done. If you have a physical location in a city, it gets its own Google Business Profile. If you do not, it gets a service-area page and no fake address.
Service areas defined by freeways, not miles
A ten-mile radius in Phoenix is fifteen minutes. In LA it is forty-five. We build your service-area map around what you can actually reach — the 101 corridor, the South Bay, the SGV — because that is also how your customers think about who is “near” them.
Spanish where it counts
Millions of LA County residents search in Spanish, and most local businesses have no Spanish page at all. Where it fits your clientele we write real Spanish service pages — not translations — with proper hreflang. The competition is a fraction of the English term.
Directories, because they hold the slots
Yelp, Angi, Avvo, Healthgrades and Houzz sit in the organic results for most LA queries and will for years. We make sure your listings on them are complete, consistent and reviewed, so that when a directory outranks you, it still sends you the call.
§ 04
By industry
How search works for your kind of business, with the real numbers.
§ 05
Straight answers
Including the one about where we are.
Are you based in Los Angeles?
No. We are a three-person team in Bangkok serving clients across the United States, and a growing share of them are in LA County. We keep overlap hours for calls in your morning. We will never put a virtual office on your Google Business Profile or ours — Google removes those, and the removal takes your reviews with it.
Can you get us into the map pack for “Los Angeles”?
Only if your business is physically in the City of Los Angeles, and even then the pack is decided by where the searcher is standing, not by the word they typed. Someone in Burbank searching “plumber near me” sees Burbank plumbers. The realistic goal is the pack for each city you actually serve, plus organic for the wider terms — and that is what we build.
Do we need Spanish pages?
If you serve a Spanish-speaking clientele, yes, and not as a machine translation. “Dentista cerca de mi” is searched 18,000 times a month nationally with far less competition than the English query. A properly written Spanish service page with its own hreflang tag is one of the least contested rankings in LA local search.
What does it cost for an LA business?
The same as anywhere: site builds from $2,900, monthly coverage from $1,200, month to month, cancel any time. LA is more competitive than most metros, so the number of cities you can realistically take in the first quarter is smaller — the audit tells you which ones before you commit.
