SEO for chiropractors
“Chiropractor near me” is searched 246,000 times a month, and almost nobody searching it knows which chiropractor they want. They know what hurts. The clinics that win rank for the condition — sciatica, whiplash, back pain — and then make the first visit easy to understand and easy to book.
§ 02
What your customers actually type
US monthly searches, what a click costs in ads, and how hard the organic slot is to win (0–100). Source: Semrush, September 2026.
Difficulty under 20 is winnable in months for a well-built page. Over 50 is a long campaign. The point of the audit is to tell you which of these you can take in your market, and in what order.
§ 03
How search works for chiropractic clinics
The mechanics are local-service mechanics. The details are yours, and the details are where the rankings are.
People search the condition, not the treatment
Sciatica, whiplash, migraines, pregnancy back pain, sports injuries. Each is a different person with a different question, and a “Conditions We Treat” list does not rank for any of them. A page per condition — what it is, what a visit does, how many visits, what it costs — is the core of chiropractic SEO, and several of these queries have almost no competition.
Health content is held to a higher standard
Google applies extra scrutiny to pages about medical conditions. Claims that chiropractic “cures” anything, or pages with no author and no credentials, can hold a whole site back. We write condition pages with the treating chiropractor named, credentialed and linked, and we keep the claims to what the evidence and your licence support.
Cost and insurance are the first questions
Most people have never been to a chiropractor and assume it is expensive or not covered. “Chiropractor cost without insurance” is a small query with almost no competition, and the clinic that answers it with a real number gets the new-patient call. So does the clinic that lists which insurers it takes.
§ 04
What we usually find
Three faults that show up on most chiropractic clinic sites we audit. None are exotic. All are fixable.
Fault 1
A conditions list instead of condition pages
Twenty conditions as a bullet list on one page. Twenty searches, no page for any of them, several of which are nearly uncontested.
The easiest rankings in the sector, unclaimed.
Fault 2
Claims that trip health-content standards
Pages promising to “fix” or “cure”, no named practitioner, no credentials. Google reads it as an untrustworthy health site and holds down everything on the domain.
One overreaching page dragging the whole site.
Fault 3
No new-patient page
Nothing that says what the first visit is, how long it takes, what it costs, what to wear. The single most anxious moment in the funnel, unanswered.
First-timers booking with whoever explained it.
§ 05
What the engagement looks like
Audit in two business days. Site live in three to four weeks. Month to month after that, cancel any time.
Audit the clinic and the conditions
The conditions you treat, the insurers you take, the referral relationships you have, and who ranks for each condition in your area. Two business days.
Condition pages with a named practitioner
One page per condition, written within evidence and licence limits, with the treating chiropractor named and credentialed.
New-patient, cost and insurance pages
What the first visit is, what it costs with and without insurance, which plans you take — the pages that turn a nervous first-timer into a booking.
Profile and reviews
Categories by specialty, real photos of the clinic, review flow tied to the visit, and a Google Business Profile that is “Open” when someone’s back goes out on a Saturday.
§ 06
Questions chiropractic clinics ask us
Do you understand the medical-claims rules?
We write within what your licence and the evidence support, name the treating practitioner on every clinical page, and avoid the words that trip Google’s health-content standards — cure, fix, guaranteed. Anything borderline goes to you before it is published.
We get personal-injury referrals from lawyers. Can search help there?
Yes. “Car accident chiropractor” is a real query with moderate difficulty, and a page that explains documentation, lien arrangements and how you work with attorneys ranks for it and reassures the referring firm. It is one of the first pages we build for PI-heavy clinics.
How much does it matter that we take insurance?
A lot. An insurance page listing the plans you accept ranks for “[plan] chiropractor near me” queries and removes the biggest reason people do not call. If you are cash-only, say so and say the price — it converts better than silence.
What does it cost?
Site builds from $2,900. Monthly coverage from $1,200, month to month, cancel any time. The audit is free and comes first.
